Golf Agronomy

Golf agronomists support golf courses to develop strategies to improve the overall quality of their surfaces. The agronomist supports the headgreenkeeper in the decision-making process by suppling independent and data based advise. Ever changing climate and pesticide restrictions require to plan ahead for the future to establish resilient playing surfaces that produce good playing quality all year round. I look at all aspects of your golf facility from plant species composition to fertiliser regimes and develop a holistic management strategy based on your objectives and ambition for your golf course.

Applied Science

I conduct independent and applied science projects for golf federations, companies or individual golfclubs. I have a strong focus on translating findings into practice. Therefore, research is solely conducted on golf courses in cooperation with practitioners and not in controlled environments.

Innovation

Greenkeepers can only manage what they can measure. Therefore, I have a strong focus on integrating technology to make better agronomic decisions. I also work on developing new tools and machinery with the ambition to maintain golf courses pesticide free in the near future.
